What the Perchance AI video generator is
There is no single "Perchance AI video generator". Perchance is a platform for user-made tools, and the video generators on it are pages built by different people. Popular ones include "Pretty AI Video Generator" and image to video pages such as "Luminara", and there are many more with plain names like "AI Video Generator". Their own descriptions promise the same thing: free, in the browser, no sign-up.
Most of them work the same way. You type a prompt, or upload a photo on the image to video pages, wait in a queue, and get a short clip back. Some pages are light wrappers that animate a still image with camera movement, others call an AI video model behind the scenes. Because each page is built and maintained by someone else, a generator that worked yesterday can be slow, changed or offline today.
Perchance AI video limits
Independent reviews we read in October 2026 describe very similar results, and they match what users report on the Perchance subreddit:
- Clips are short, usually about 2 to 4 seconds of motion.
- There is no sound: no music, voice or sound effects.
- Resolution is low and varies by generator, with noise and warped edges on some results.
- There are no settings for aspect ratio, length or format, and no editing after the clip is made.
- At busy times renders sit in a queue or fail, and you start again.
- There is no clear statement about who owns the output or whether you may use it commercially.
Is Perchance safe to use?
Perchance itself does not ask for an account, an email or a payment, which keeps the risk low for casual use. The things to watch are elsewhere. Anyone can publish a generator, so quality and behaviour differ from page to page, and Perchance flags some generators with a content warning for mature material. If you share a computer with children, or you need clips you can post under your own name or brand, keep that in mind and check the page you are using.
