Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 2026
TapToVideo turns a photo and a short description into a short AI-generated video. This policy explains what you may not create with TapToVideo, how we check content, how to report abuse and what happens when someone breaks the rules. It applies to every photo you upload, every description (prompt) you write and every video created with the service, and it is part of our Terms of Use.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use TapToVideo to create, upload or share:
- Pornography and sexual content (NSFW): nudity, sexual acts, sexualised poses, undressing a person or any other sexually explicit material.
- Violence and gore: graphic violence, blood, injuries, torture, killing or dead bodies, and content that glorifies or encourages self-harm.
- Hate speech: content that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics, including hate symbols and extremist propaganda.
- Child-unsafe content: any sexual or sexualised content involving minors (CSAM) is strictly forbidden and will be reported to the authorities. Photos of children may only be used for harmless family moments.
- Deepfakes and impersonation: videos of celebrities, politicians or other public figures, and videos of any real person who has not agreed to it. You may not make a real person appear to say or do something they did not do, or use a video to deceive, defame or harass anyone.
- Copyright and trademark infringement: photos you do not own or have no permission to use, and content that copies protected characters, brands or logos in a way that infringes the rights of others.
Also not allowed:
- Presenting an AI-generated video as real footage of a real event, or as created by a human, in order to mislead others.
- Misinformation, scams, spam or deceptive advertising.
- Anything illegal under the laws that apply to you or to us, including content that violates someone's privacy or personality rights.
- Trying to get around our safety checks, for example with coded words, repeated attempts with slightly changed photos, or automated requests.
2. How we check content
Every video goes through several checks before you can see it:
- Description check (before creation): the text you write is checked against a list of prohibited terms in English, German, Spanish and Italian covering sexual content, violence, hate, and deepfakes. We update this list regularly. Blocked requests are not sent to the video model.
- Photo check (before creation): every uploaded photo is reviewed automatically by an AI safety model (Google Gemini) for nudity and sexual content, violence, hate symbols and recognisable public figures. The AI kissing effect has a stricter check: the photo must show two adults, and photos that may show a minor are always rejected. If a photo is rejected, no credits are used.
- Video check (after creation, before display):every finished video is reviewed again by the AI safety model for sexual content, violence and hate. A video that fails this check is deleted, never shown to you, and any credits used are returned.
- Model safety filters: the video model we use, Seedance 1.5 Pro, also applies its own safety filters and refuses requests that break its rules.
- Records: we log each blocked request (time, check stage and reason, without your photo) so that we can review decisions, spot repeated abuse and improve our checks.
- Human review: reports from users and accounts with repeated blocked requests are reviewed by a person.
Automatic checks are not perfect. If a harmless photo was rejected, you can tell us at support@taptovideo.com.
3. Reporting abuse
If you see content made with TapToVideo that breaks this policy, or a video that uses your image without your consent, please email support@taptovideo.com with the subject "Report". Include a link or a description of the content and, if it concerns you, how we can verify that. We keep the identity of people who report confidential. Deliberately false reports are not acceptable.
Response times:
- Child safety and other severe cases: we act within 24 hours and report criminal content to the authorities.
- Deepfakes, impersonation and rights violations: first response within 2 business days.
- All other reports: first response within 5 business days.
4. What happens when the rules are broken
- Blocked request: the photo, description or video is rejected and nothing is created or shown.
- Warning: for a first minor violation we may contact you by email.
- Restriction or suspension: after repeated attempts to create prohibited content we may temporarily block the account or free use from the same device or network.
- Permanent ban: severe violations, in particular anything involving minors or non-consensual sexual content, lead to immediate and permanent closure of the account. Credits already used are not refunded in that case.
- Legal action: we report illegal content to the authorities and cooperate with investigations.
5. Appeals
If you think we restricted or closed your account by mistake, email support@taptovideo.com with the subject "Appeal" within 30 days. We review the decision again and reply within 10 business days.
6. Changes and contact
We update this policy when our service or the law changes. The version on this page applies. Questions about this policy: support@taptovideo.com.
